The Construction Consultants check in to new Birmingham hotel scheme
Multi-disciplined construction consultancy, The Construction Consultants (TCC) has been appointed to a hospitality and leisure scheme in Birmingham that will feature a new 150-bed hotel.
TCC will deliver quantity surveying services at The Dean Birmingham in Corporation Street on behalf of Irish leisure and hospitality operator, Press Up Hospitality Group and developer, Oakmount.
The scheme will see the total refurbishment and redevelopment of Birmingham’s Grade II* listed Methodist Central Hall as part of a new hospitality complex that will also boast eight bars and restaurants, a gymnasium and events space.
The construction consultancy has extensive experience in the retail and hospitality sectors, gained through delivery of projects including the refurbishment of the Grade II listed Cosener’s House near Oxford, a 70-bed Travelodge scheme in Wiltshire and the development of several outlets nationwide on behalf of The Gym Group.
Alex Pimley, Co-founder and Director of TCC, said: “We’re very pleased to have been appointed to work on The Dean Birmingham. This is a hugely exciting scheme that will transform a fabulous old building currently on Heritage England’s At Risk Register. Work is already underway on site and we are looking forward to working with Press Up Hospitality Group and the wider project team to deliver what promises to be a vibrant hospitality and leisure destination.”
